WHAT IS DIGITAL PLANNING?
A digital planner is meant to imitate the experience of a paper planner, except you are writing on an iPad or other type of tablet.
I’VE NEVER USED A DIGITAL PLANNER. HOW DO I LEARN?

WHAT NOTES APP DO YOU USE?
I use GoodNotes 5 — GoodNotes is available on the iOS platform for phone, iPad, and Mac desktops/laptops. I would suggest editing on iPad or Mac as a phone screen may be too small to easily navigate.
HOW DO I DOWNLOAD MY PRODUCT AFTER PURCHASING?
On Etsy, go to You > Purchases & Reviews and find the order. On the right side of the order, click Download Files - this will take you to a downloads page for all of the files pertaining to that order. You can download the files as many times as necessary; there is usually no limit.
-- If the Download Files button is greyed out, your payment may still be processing.
-- If you do not see the Download Files button on the Etsy app, try logging in from a desktop web browser.
IS THIS PLANNER MADE ONLY FOR GOODNOTES?
Absolutely not. Another popular notes app is Notability, though I have little experience with this particular app. For Android, I have heard that Xodo is the app to use.
The main function that your notes app needs to have is the ability to annotate PDFs. If you’d like to use inserts, the app will also need the capability to insert images onto a PDF.
CAN I ADD MORE PAGES TO THE PLANNER?
You can add as many pages as you’d like, however it may begin to affect your device’s memory if you add too many.
CAN I ADD OR EDIT TABS?
No, the tabs are not editable.
WHY AREN’T MY TABS WORKING?
For GoodNotes - Please be sure that your writing tool is turned off. This will take you out of Draw/Edit mode and will make the planner clickable.
For all other Notes apps - also make sure you are out of Draw mode. If the tabs are still not working, I’d suggest looking for Help within the app or Googling a tutorial for using a digital planner with that app.
MY TABS AREN'T LINKED PROPERLY. WHAT HAPPENED?
Once pages have been added or deleted from the planner, I am unable to determine the functionality of the planner as everyone has a different way of doing this. To avoid this issue, please follow my Tutorial for adding and deleting pages. Make sure not to delete the tabbed sections as these are the primary links needed for proper functionality.
If you have done everything correctly & the tabs are still not linked properly, try restarting the GoodNotes app. You can also download a clean copy of the planner and then transfer your planning over to the new copy.
WHY IS THE PLANNER TAKING AWHILE TO LOAD?
If your device is almost at capacity, it will slow down the functions of apps. Because the planner is a PDF, it does not have to “load” when you open it. The app, or tablet itself, could also need to be restarted.
CAN I TYPE IN THE PLANNER?
This is dependent upon the app you are using. In GoodNotes - yes. You can also choose from a selection of fonts as well as change color/size.
CAN I UNZIP A FILE ON MY IPAD?
It is better to unzip a file on your desktop and send to your iPad after. The zipped file, once opened, could take up a lot of space on your tablet.However, yes, you can unzip a file on your iPad by using the Files app (iOS 11 or later). Otherwise, you will require a third-party app.
